Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 820
The Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 820 is a SMPTE ST-2110 network switch built for advanced broadcast IP systems. It carries 8 x 100G QSFP28 and 2 x 10G RJ-45 connections at low latency, with every cable landing on the rear so the front of the rack stays clean and secure. The front panel handles ST-2110 routing on its own: a 2.2 inch LCD, spin knob and three-button control patch sources to destinations and monitor any input without a computer, and a front-to-back cooling design keeps it quiet in a control room.
For resilient facilities it adds two redundant PTP clock Ethernet connections running IEEE 1588-2008 PTP v2 and ST 2059, a separate 1G RJ-45 NMOS control port, and a dedicated 1G RJ-45 management port for configuration and firmware updates. Power is redundant from two internal 100-240V AC supplies on IEC C14 inlets. It installs in a single rack unit and ships with a welcome wallet holding the software download code.
