BirdDog RS422/232 RJ45 Adaptor for PTZ Keyboard (BD-PTZK-422232)
BirdDog puts the serial control port on the KBD keyboard behind an RJ45 jack, which is tidy on the desk but no use at all when the camera end is a bare-wire terminal block. This short adaptor solves that: an RJ45 plug on one end, a five-way screw-terminal (Phoenix-style) block on the other, on a moulded strain-relieved tail.
It carries both serial standards the keyboard supports, so the same part serves an RS232 run to a single camera or an RS422/485 daisy chain down a row of them. The pinout is printed on a label wrapped around the cable, which means the installer at the far end of the run does not have to go back to the manual to work out which conductor is ground, RX and TX. It is the part you need whenever the cameras on the chain take serial control rather than VISCA over IP. BirdDog part number BD-PTZK-422232.
