BirdDog KBD PTZ Controller with Integrated Screen
The BirdDog KBD is a hardware PTZ controller with an integrated screen, built to run a whole rig of cameras from one desk. A three-axis joystick handles pan, tilt and zoom one-handed, a spring-loaded zoom rocker fine-tunes the shot, and a fine-tune mode multiplies joystick sensitivity by ten when a move has to be exact. It scales to as many as 255 cameras on a single network.
The built-in display shows up to four live previews over NDI|HX or RTSP, or one camera full-screen, so the operator watches the shot instead of a tally light. It talks to cameras over NDI, VISCA-IP, ONVIF, PELCO-P and PELCO-D, plus RS-232 and RS-422 serial, and runs on PoE (802.3af) or a DC 12V supply. The aircraft-grade aluminium body and physical switching feedback are built for daily production use.
