Black Box VX-HDMI-TP-100M XR HDMI and IR Extender over CATx, 100 m
One CAT5e or CAT6 cable, 328 feet (100 m), and a screen at the far end that behaves as though it were plugged straight into the source. The XR carries uncompressed full-HD video and audio plus control signals, with 10.2 Gbps of HDMI bandwidth on all channels, 1080p at 60 Hz, 48-bit pixel rates and 3D support. It is HDCP compliant and Blu-ray ready.
Control is the other half of the job. CEC passthrough and a built-in IR extender - emitter and receiver both supplied - carry remote commands from the display end back to the source, so someone standing at a signage screen can change settings on a player in another room. For a digital-signage rollout the practical win is cabling: one existing Ethernet drop replaces the bundle that would otherwise live behind each display.
