Ansmann Fischer Amps ALC 81 and ALC 161 Rackmount AA / AAA Chargers
A wireless rack that runs on alkalines is a recurring cost and a recurring risk. The Fischer Amps ALC chargers put the rechargeables in the same rack as the receivers: the ALC 81 is a half-rack unit charging eight AA or AAA cells, and the ALC 161 is the full rack version taking sixteen. Both handle NiCd and NiMH chemistries.
Mounting the charger rather than leaving a consumer charger on a road case lid is the point. Cells go back in the same place every night, the crew can see at a glance what is charged, and the batteries for tomorrow are already in the rack when the case is closed. Sized for a typical wireless microphone or in-ear monitor system, where each pack takes one or two cells per show.
