AKG CU800 Charging Unit
The CU800 charges DMS800 transmitters without anyone opening a battery door. Two slots, shaped to take the DPT800 bodypack directly and the DHT800 handheld through the supplied adapters, run completely independently, so two transmitters charge at once and neither waits on the other. Charging contacts on the transmitters mean the cells stay inside the pack, which is the difference between a working routine and a drawer full of loose AAs. It is also compatible with the DMS700.
Charging is pulse-based: short high-voltage pulses move charge quickly without cooking the cells, the charger works out the right current for the battery it sees, and a quiet fan holds the cell temperature down. Typical single-slot charging is about 1.4 A for roughly 1.5 hours depending on battery type and capacity. Four NiMH AA cells, an AC adapter with EU/US/UK/AU plugs and two CU adapters ship in the box, and an optional 19 inch kit racks the housing.
