AKG HT470 C5 Handheld Wireless Transmitter
The HT470 is the professional handheld transmitter for AKG's WMS470 system, and this build carries the C5 condenser capsule for singers who want detail and top-end air rather than the fuller dynamic voice of the D5. Pilot tone transmission prevents startup noise and lets the transmitter feed data, including low-battery state, back to the receiver continuously.
Its dipole antenna is split across the body, so a hand wrapped around one pole does not collapse the link the way a single stub antenna would. Battery identification detects whether an alkaline, lithium or NiMH cell is fitted and shows the remaining time in hours on the display, and an infrared data link takes the frequency straight from the receiver instead of being dialed in. 1220 frequencies in 25 kHz steps across a 30 MHz switching bandwidth support up to 24 simultaneous channels.
