Allen & Heath dLive S Class Surfaces
A dLive Surface is the most popular way to control a dLive MixRack, and the S Class hardware is the range built for professional touring, broadcast and permanent installation. Where the C Class trims size and weight, S Class surfaces add dual power supply slots for redundancy and dual redundant audio connections back to the MixRack, so a show keeps running even if a cable or supply fails. Each surface carries 26 assignable SoftKeys and six assignable rotaries for deep, custom control.
The range scales by fader count and screen count. The S3000 offers a single 12-inch touchscreen with 20 faders, the S5000 steps up to dual 12-inch touchscreens with 28 faders, and the S7000 provides dual 12-inch touchscreens with 36 faders. Any S Class surface drives any dLive MixRack, letting you match the control surface to the venue while keeping the same 128 x 64 mix engine. Local I/O on an S Class surface is 8 mic/line inputs and 8 line outputs plus two stereo AES3 inputs and three stereo AES3 outputs, with two I/O port slots carrying 128 channels at 96 kHz each, two network ports, wordclock BNC, and a video output.
