Allen & Heath dLive C Class MixRacks
The dLive C Class MixRacks are the DSP heart of Allen & Heath's dLive system, the rack units that hold the audio, the I/O, and the processing while a separate Surface or a laptop drives the mix. Every C Class rack runs the same XCVI 160x64 FPGA core at 96kHz, so all three models share the full mix engine: 128 input channels and 64 mix outputs on a configurable 64-bus architecture, with phase-aligned signal paths and a class-leading 0.7ms latency. Processing includes 16 RackFX with dedicated stereo returns, 24 DCAs, a signal generator, RTA, and spectrogram.
What separates the three models is physical I/O and rack size. The CDM32 packs 32 mic/line inputs and 16 XLR outputs into 5U, the CDM48 offers 48 inputs and 24 outputs in 7U, and the CDM64 provides 64 inputs and 32 outputs in 8U. Each rack has an option-card I/O port and can reach the full 128 channels by adding DX expanders or patching digital sources over the network. A C Class rack takes up to 12 DX I/O expanders through DX Hub modules or DX Link cards and drives up to two dLive Surfaces, the second on an optional gigaACE card. Power is an integrated supply rather than the S Class hot-swappable pair.
