VariZoom VZ-RL100 LANC Zoom and Record Controller

The VariZoom VZ-RL100 is a LANC zoom and record controller built around a wide-sweep rocker. The rocker is pressure-sensitive, so an operator can ease into a gradual creep, hold a steady speed, or push through a fast crash zoom without touching the camera body, which is exactly the kind of smooth control handheld and tripod work needs. A start/stop record button sits under the thumb, and an LED on the face reports active recording, low battery, or end of media.

The unit clamps to nearly any tripod handle, camera support, or stabilizer arm up to 1.25 inches in diameter and needs no separate power. A built-in 40-inch LANC cable plugs into the camera's 2.5mm remote port, making it compatible with many Sony, Canon, and select JVC camcorders as well as compatible Blackmagic and Panasonic bodies.
