Vaxis Storm Array Antenna Panel
The Storm Array Antenna is the fix for a receiver that keeps dropping in a crowded RF environment. It replaces the five flag antennas on a Vaxis 1000+ or 1200 receiver with a single directional panel: five 16 dBi elements, three vertical and two at plus and minus 45 degrees, concentrating the receiver's sensitivity into roughly a 90 degree cone in front of it.
The result is both more range and less trouble. Under the same test conditions it takes usable distance from 800 metres to as much as 1 kilometre, and because it stops listening behind itself it rejects a large part of the interference that a set full of other 5 GHz gear throws at a receiver. It covers 5.1 to 5.8 GHz.
