Telex MCP-90-18 18" Gooseneck Mic Back-Electret Condenser Gooseneck Microphone
The MCP-90-18 is the 18-inch member of Telex's back-electret gooseneck microphone family, made to mount on a keypanel or speaker station and carry a talker's voice onto an intercom line. The back-electret element delivers more sensitivity, wider frequency response, and stronger rejection of handling noise than a standard diaphragm-electret capsule, while the semi-rigid gooseneck stays where you point it for steady, hands-free pickup.
The extra length is the point: eighteen inches reaches up to a standing operator or across to a station that sits low or off to one side, where the 12-inch MCP-90-12 would fall short. It is phantom powered across a wide 1.5 to 9 VDC range and ends in a threaded TRS male connector that mates with the standard RTS female fitting on keypanels, Audiocom stations, and the SS-2002 speaker station. A removable windscreen provides pop filtering and overload protection.
