Tascam TA-1VP Vocal Processor with Antares Auto-Tune
The TA-1VP is a rackmount vocal processor built with Antares Audio Technologies, combining a microphone preamp with Auto-Tune pitch correction, Antares Microphone Modeling, and the vocal dynamics and EQ stages a lead vocal usually needs. It is aimed at engineers who want the processing committed at the front end rather than as a plug-in chain.
A balanced XLR mic input and a balanced 1/4 inch TRS line input feed the processor, and the main output is balanced with a 100 ohm source impedance. A separate Double Track output carries the doubled voice on its own path, and an S/PDIF digital output to IEC60958-3 is provided for a direct digital capture. MIDI control allows the correction and modelling parameters to be automated from a sequencer.
