Symetrix ARC-3 Wall Controller
The ARC-3 is the touch member of the Symetrix ARC family. Instead of a fixed knob or a fixed bank of switches it presents a capacitive-touch surface with LED highlighting, driven by a menu structure you build in the DSP software: up to 32 menus with up to 32 items each. That covers the ordinary jobs, volume and mute, source and preset selection, room combining, and it also covers logic events that would otherwise need a control system.
It wires to the DSP over standard CAT5/6 using RS-485, daisy-chained or run in a star from an ARC-PSe, with a total run of up to 4000 ft. The unit mounts in a North American electrical box in-wall, or on the surface with the supplied assembly, in US or EU form, and takes a single-gang Decora faceplate in black or white. Note that the ARC-3 is not compatible with the Jupiter or Zone Mix 761 DSPs; those use the ARC-2e, ARC-K1e and ARC-SW4e instead.
