Sontronics STC-2 Pack Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone Bundle

The STC-2 is Sontronics' cardioid large-diaphragm condenser, and the Pack is how it is sold ready to work: mic, spider shock mount, two spare elastics, popshield, a 5 m XLR cable and a zip pouch. The spare elastics are a small thing that says something about the design, since a perished elastic is what usually retires a shock mount.

The mic covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 20 mV/Pa, with a 125 dB ceiling and 18 dBA of self-noise. A -10 dB pad and a 75 Hz filter sit on the body, which is enough switching for close vocals and for an acoustic guitar that needs its proximity bump taken out. Impedance is under 200 Ohms into 3-pin XLR on 48 V phantom. The mic alone is 194 x 53 x 53 mm and 0.62 kg. Choose black or silver above.
