Sontronics STC-3X Pack Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone Bundle

The STC-3X adds pattern switching to Sontronics' large-diaphragm line: cardioid, omnidirectional and figure-of-eight from one body. That covers a solo vocal, a room ambience and a two-people-facing-each-other interview without a second microphone, which is the reason it turns up so often as a first serious condenser.

Switching is deep for the price, with pads at -10 dB and -20 dB and filters at 75 Hz and 150 Hz. Response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz, sensitivity 16 mV/Pa, self-noise 18 dBA and maximum SPL 125 dB. Impedance is under 200 Ohms into 3-pin XLR on 48 V phantom. The Pack supplies the shock mount, popshield, a 5 m XLR cable and a storage pouch. Choose black or silver above.
