Sontronics STC-1S Matched Stereo Pair of Condenser Microphones

The STC-1S is two STC-1 pencil condensers matched at the factory and packed with the mounting bar you need to use them as a pair. Matching is the whole point: an X-Y or ORTF pair only images correctly when both capsules answer the same sound the same way, and buying two mics separately does not guarantee that. Here it is done before the box is sealed.

Each mic runs 25 Hz to 20 kHz at 20 mV/Pa with 16 dBA self-noise and a 137 dB ceiling, and carries pads at -10 dB and -20 dB plus 75 Hz and 150 Hz filters. Capsules are interchangeable, so the same pair works cardioid over a kit, omni in a hall or hypercardioid on a tight spot. Impedance is under 200 Ohms into 3-pin XLR on 48 V phantom. The set includes two clips, two foam windshields, the stereo bar and an ABS case. Choose black or silver above.
