Sontronics SOLO W1 Wireless Dynamic Capsule for Shure Transmitters
SOLO W1 puts the capsule from Sontronics' wired SOLO onto the thread used by Shure handheld transmitters, so a singer can carry the same voice from a wired soundcheck onto a wireless show. The motor is dynamic with a neodymium magnet and an aluminium voice coil, supercardioid for gain before feedback, and it handles 140 dB at under 1% distortion.
Response runs 50 Hz to 15 kHz with sensitivity at 5.5 mV/Pa. The compatibility list is long and covers current and legacy Shure bodies, from Axient AD2, ADX2 and ADX2FD through QLX-D, ULX-D, SLX-D, GLXD2+, BLX2 and PGX-D to older SLX, ULX, UHF-R and Performance Gear handhelds, plus Microflex MXW2 and MXW2X. Audio Technica 3000 Series, Lectrosonics HH and HHa, Line 6 V75 and V55, and Sound Devices Astral transmitters are also listed. The body is hard black anodised with a black steel grille, 93 mm long and 170 g. Check your transmitter against Sontronics' compatibility list before ordering.
