Sennheiser MKE2 P C
The Sennheiser MKE 2-P-C is a subminiature omnidirectional clip-on lavalier from the MKE 2 Gold family, the reference lav for theater and broadcast when the mic has to be invisible but the sound has to be right. Its signature umbrella diaphragm is a moisture-resistant, dual-layer design that shrugs off sweat and humidity, which is why it holds up under stage makeup and body heat where lesser lavs fail. The omnidirectional pattern gathers even level from every angle, so the talent can move and turn without the voice dipping.
Unlike the wireless-terminated versions of the capsule, this MKE 2-P-C carries a 3-pin XLR connector and runs on 48V phantom power, feeding straight into a camera or mixing board. The capsule covers a full 20 to 20,000 Hz and handles up to 142 dB SPL, and supplied frequency caps let you lift the top end when the element is hidden under clothing.
