Sennheiser HME 27 Broadcast Headset
The HME 27 is a closed-back broadcast headset built for radio and TV commentators, pairing a pre-polarized condenser microphone with a lightweight split headband that eliminates pressure points during a long broadcast. The cardioid pattern keeps studio and stadium noise out of the commentary feed while staying sensitive to the operator's voice.
Switchable ActiveGard limiting technology protects hearing from sudden loud peaks in the program feed without the operator needing to ride a volume knob. The closed, circumaural ear cups isolate the wearer for a clean monitoring reference, and the modular, wired design connects to standard broadcast interfaces. Sennheiser also offers this same headset platform as the HMD 27 with a dynamic microphone and the HMDC 27 with a dynamic microphone and switchable noise-canceling for loud environments.
