Rode NTH-100 Professional Over-Ear Headphones

The NTH-100 is a closed-back circumaural monitoring headphone built around custom-matched 40mm dynamic drivers. The pair-matching is the useful part: two headphones out of the same box measure the same, so a second engineer hears what the first one hears. Ambient noise attenuation is 20dBA, enough to track in the same room as a drum kit.

Comfort is engineered rather than padded: a layer of CoolTech gel under the memory foam pulls heat away from the ears, and the earcups and headband are covered in Alcantara. Impedance is 32 ohms with 110dB/V sensitivity, so a laptop or a camera drives them. The cable is a 2.4m detachable dual-TRRS lead that can enter either cup. The NTH-100M variant adds the detachable NTH-Mic broadcast microphone.
