RDL RCX-5C Room Combining System Controller
The RDL RCX-5C is the heart of an RCX room combining system, a single rack-space controller that routes and controls audio for up to five rooms combined in any adjacent arrangement. It is built for divisible meeting spaces, banquet halls and houses of worship where movable walls join and separate rooms and the audio system has to follow. Each room can take a line source, or a mic-plus-line feed set for dynamic or condenser microphones, and MUSIC and PAGING inputs can be routed to any room as needed.
Every room input has a front-panel level knob with LED metering, and all switching and gain control is electronic with memory, so combinations recall cleanly without relays to wear out. The controller connects to wall-mounted remote input panels for in-room source control, and two RCX-5C units may be linked where larger buildings need two groups of rooms to combine. The standard RCX-5C leaves room mics live while music plays; the RCX-5CM variant mutes them.
