RDL RU-ADA8D Eight-Channel Stereo Audio Distribution Amplifier, 2x8 or 1x16
The RDL RU-ADA8D is an eight-channel stereo audio distribution amplifier that takes two line-level sources and fans each out to eight isolated outputs, a 2x8 layout that sends a stereo program to eight destinations at once. Switched to mono, the module drives up to sixteen distributed mono signals, making it a workhorse for paging, background music and monitor feeds across a large building. Input and output gain adjustments with input level metering let each stage be dialed in exactly.
Each input accepts a balanced or unbalanced signal (20 kohm balanced / 10 kohm unbalanced input impedance) at +4 dBu nominal with a +25 dBu maximum, and the sixteen outputs land on detachable terminal blocks at +4 dBu balanced nominal, +24 dBu maximum, or -10 dBV unbalanced. Output impedance is 150 ohms balanced and 75 ohms unbalanced, and the amplifier holds a very flat response from 10 Hz to 165 kHz with high headroom and low distortion across the whole distribution. It operates from 24 Vdc on a rear-panel detachable terminal block.
