RDL HR-MP2 Microphone Preamplifier
The RDL HR-MP2 packs two independent microphone preamplifiers into one chassis, each with its own gain control, input pad, low-cut filter, phantom switch and metering. It brings a microphone up to balanced line level cleanly, with very low noise and high common-mode rejection, so the signal that reaches a mixer, recorder or distribution amplifier is quiet and strong. Two channels in a single unit make it a tidy fit for lecterns, interview rooms and small broadcast setups.
Each microphone connects on a rear-panel 3-pin XLR, and the GAIN control sweeps continuously from 20 to 60 dB. Per-input switches select 24 V or 48 V phantom when the master phantom selector is on, and a 15 dB INPUT PAD raises the maximum input level past +20 dBu for close-miked or hot sources. Each channel offers a switchable 6 dB/octave low-cut filter cornered at 80 Hz and presents its output in three balanced formats: XLR male, detachable terminal block and 1/4-inch TRS. An RDL Dual-LED VU meter beside each gain control is calibrated to +4 dBu.
