RDL HR-DAC1 Stereo Digital-To-Analog Converter

The RDL HR-DAC1 is a stereo digital-to-analog converter that turns an AES/EBU or S/PDIF stream into clean balanced and unbalanced analog audio at up to 24 bits and 192 kHz. The rear panel accepts digital sources on 110 ohm AES/EBU, 75 ohm AES-3ID and S/PDIF in both coaxial and optical form, and front-panel LEDs indicate the incoming sample rate for the common 44.1, 48, 96 and 192 kHz standards, with support spanning 32 kHz to 192 kHz.

High-speed delta-sigma conversion, digital filtering and filtered wideband analog drivers feed balanced +4 dBu outputs on both a detachable terminal block and XLR jacks, plus unbalanced -10 dBV outputs on phono jacks. RDL's Sure-Lok latch-up auto recovery keeps the converter locked and stable through the signal glitches and dropouts common in professional installations.
