PreSonus ATOM SQ Pad Controller and Step Sequencer
ATOM SQ is built around one idea: the same grid should work as a drum machine and as an instrument. Its 32 RGB-lit pads are staggered rather than square, so the layout reads as a keyboard when you are playing lines and as a classic TR-style 16-step row when you are programming a beat or editing a drum pattern.
Scale selection constrains playing to a chosen key, a built-in arpeggiator handles pattern work, and a user-configurable touch strip covers modulation and pitch gestures. A contextual screen changes with the mode you are in rather than making you memorize shift combinations. It integrates deeply with the Pattern Editor in Fender Studio Pro for evolving step sequences, and works as a clip-launch and instrument controller in Ableton Live.
