Transcription is a two-handed job, so the transport controls have to go somewhere else. The RS31N puts play, rewind, fast forward and a fourth assignable function under your feet, leaving both hands on the keyboard for the whole session.

It works natively with ODMS 8 and, in HID keyboard mode, with third-party transcription software by sending real key combinations - Ctrl+Alt+P or Alt+1, whatever the application expects - plus multimedia keys. The base has a non-slip mat so it stays put on a hard floor, and the USB cable is 2.5m, long enough to reach a desktop tower.
