OM System BMF-SE01 Body Mount Soft Filter

Point sources record as points, which is technically correct and visually useless: a photograph of Orion with every star the same size tells you nothing about the constellation. The BMF-SE01 blooms bright stars in proportion to their magnitude, so the pattern and the colour of the brighter stars become legible.

It mounts at the body rather than the front of the lens, which means it works with ultra-wide astro lenses that take no front filter. OM System states it can be used with all M.Zuiko Digital lenses, and warns that other lenses may foul the filter at the rear element, so check clearance before fitting a third-party lens.
