Nord EP-15 Expression Pedal
The Nord EP-15 is the short-throw model in Nord's EP series of expression pedals. The chassis is heavy-duty steel, the treadle is topped with a textured rubber surface so a shoe does not slide off mid-swell, and a friction adjustment lets you set the action anywhere from light to heavy. The 15-degree throw means less ankle travel between fully closed and fully open, which suits organ swell work and quick filter or effect sweeps where you want the whole range under a small movement.
It plugs into the control pedal input of any Nord instrument, and Nord notes it also works with a wide range of other manufacturers' keyboards that accept a standard expression pedal. On the Electro 7 the Expression Pedal Assign feature lets this pedal drive the synth filter and most effect parameters as well as organ swell. If you prefer a longer, more piano-like travel, the EP-30 is the same pedal with a 30-degree throw.
