Nord EP-30 Expression Pedal
The Nord EP-30 is the long-throw model in Nord's EP series of expression pedals. It shares the heavy-duty steel chassis and textured rubber treadle of the EP-15, and the same friction adjustment that sets the action from light to heavy, but its 30-degree throw gives the foot twice the travel between closed and open. That extra range is easier to control for slow swells and volume rides, and it is the pedal Nord builds into the Pedal Keys 25 as its swell pedal.
It connects to the control pedal input of any Nord instrument and to a wide range of other manufacturers' keyboards that accept a standard expression pedal. On the Electro 7 the Expression Pedal Assign feature lets it drive the synth filter and most effect parameters as well as organ swell. Players who want a shorter, quicker action should look at the EP-15 instead.
