NETGEAR M4250-10G2XF-PoE++ AV Switch (GSM4212UX)
The M4250-10G2XF-PoE++ (NETGEAR part GSM4212UX) has the same eight-port footprint as its PoE+ sibling but a completely different power story: Ultra90 PoE++ on every one of the eight gigabit ports, up to 90 W each, against a 720 W budget. That is the switch you reach for when the endpoints are not little Dante boxes but pan-tilt-zoom cameras with heaters, powered loudspeakers, large touch panels, or 802.3bt displays that a 30 W PoE+ port simply cannot bring up. It stays backward compatible with 802.3af (15.4 W), 802.3at (30 W), and 802.3bt at 60, 75, and 90 W, so mixed-vintage gear coexists on the same rack.
Two additional gigabit copper ports and two SFP+ cages handle uplink duty at 1G or 10G. Configuration runs through NETGEAR's AV Line GUI, which applies the VLAN, QoS, and multicast settings for a given AV protocol as a profile rather than as a pile of hand-entered commands, and IGMP Plus manages Layer 2 multicast across interconnected switches so AV-over-IP streams do not flood the network. Delivering 720 W generates heat, so the fan is louder than the PoE+ model when it runs (50.5 dB at 25 C); it will operate fanless when thermals permit. Covered by NETGEAR's limited lifetime hardware warranty.
