NETGEAR AXM761 10GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceiver Module

The AXM761 is the multimode half of NETGEAR's 10G optic range: a 10GBASE-SR SFP+ module with an LC duplex face, sized for the fiber that already runs between an equipment room and the racks down the hall. On 50/125 micron OM4 it holds a 10 Gigabit link out to 550 m and on OM3 to 300 m, and it will still light older OM1 and OM2 plant at 33 m if that is what the building gave you.

It drops into any open SFP+ cage on NETGEAR's M-series managed switches and the Smart and Plus models that carry SFP+ uplinks, hot, with the switch running. For an AV network that means the fiber uplink between a core switch and a distribution closet is one part number rather than a media converter and a power supply.
