NETGEAR AXC7615 and AXC7620 Active Optical SFP+ Direct Attach Cables
Copper twinax runs out of reach somewhere around 10 metres. These two cables pick up where it stops: a fibre core with the SFP+ transceiver moulded onto each end, so the link behaves like a direct attach cable to the person installing it while behaving like optics to the signal. Nothing to spec, nothing to match, no separate module order - the cable is the optic.
Both are 10 Gigabit SFP+ on NETGEAR-coded ends and drop into the SFP+ cages on M4250, M4300, M4500 and XS-series switches, which makes them the practical way to reach a second rack or the far end of a control room without pulling structured fibre and terminating it on site. Fibre also keeps the run immune to the ground and interference problems copper picks up on a long haul through a building. Choose 15 or 20 metres above; NETGEAR backs both with its 5-year limited hardware warranty.
