Middle Things APC-R Mini Gimbal Controller
The APC-R Mini turns a DJI gimbal into a remote-controllable camera head for live production, using a standard USB gaming joystick as the control surface instead of a dedicated hardware panel. Middle Control software maps that joystick to pan, tilt, roll, and zoom or speed, and a built-in tally light shows program state so the gimbal operator can see it without a second screen.
It runs on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Ethernet, and draws power straight from the gimbal or from USB-C, which is also how it is configured and updated. At 54 grams and 9.5 cm long, it adds essentially no weight to a gimbal rig, and when paired with Blackmagic ATEM switchers it extends into remote control of camera-side image parameters alongside pan, tilt, and zoom.
