Mitakon Speedmaster 17mm T1.0 Micro Four Thirds Cine Lens
Zhong Yi Optics builds the Speedmaster 17mm as a T1.0 wide-angle prime for Micro Four Thirds cameras, and the stop is the point: it holds exposure well past where a typical zoom has run out of light, and it lets a wide shot carry real depth-of-field separation instead of everything staying in focus. Twelve elements in nine groups sit behind an 8-blade iris that stops down to T16, with the front group's 77mm filter thread matching the rest of the MFT Speedmaster line.
The housing is cut for a focus puller, not a stills shooter. Focus runs a long 176.5 degree throw with clearly marked distances, and the aperture ring turns a separate 75 degree throw, so pulls on both rings stay smooth and repeatable. Minimum focus is 0.30m, and the lens weighs 597g, light enough for gimbal work on a Micro Four Thirds body like a Panasonic GH-series or Blackmagic Pocket 4K.
