The 526 professional fluid head supports up to 16 kg (35 lb) and steps its counterbalance from 8 to 15 kg, with three levels of pan and tilt drag plus a zero setting for unrestricted motion when a shot calls for it. It sits on the same 645 FAST twin-leg tripod as the 509HD kit, in two-stage carbon fiber or aluminum legs.

Synchronized upper and lower leg locks mean each leg opens and closes with a single lock instead of two, which speeds up setup, and the 2-in-1 ground/middle telescopic spreader with a 3-angle selection mechanism adapts the footprint to the floor. Spiked feet with rubber overshoes handle both studio and location work.
