Manfrotto Nitrotech 608 Fluid Video Head Tripod System

The Nitrotech 608 is the lighter sibling of the 612, with the same continuous counterbalance principle scaled to a smaller payload: 0 to 17.6 lb at 2.2 in center of gravity, so the drag always matches the load instead of jumping between fixed steps. The variable continuous fluid drag system keeps pan and tilt smooth and judder-free through the whole range.

Each kit ships as a complete system: the 608 flat-base head with half-ball leveling, nitrogen piston counterbalance, and rosette mounts with a 3/8-16 port carrying both Manfrotto and ARRI anti-rotation slots, paired with a 3-section tripod on removable spreader. Twin spiked feet with rubber overshoes and a side-lock camera plate come standard, and the tripod reaches 68 in at full height, 19 in at minimum.
