JBL Professional JBL SRX918SF Flyable powered 18-inch subwoofer
The SRX918SF is the flyable 18-inch subwoofer in the SRX900 line. The same three-point rigging used across the series lets it hang on its own or in a mixed array with SRX910LA elements. A JBL 2279G-1 18-inch Differential Drive woofer on 1,100 W continuous gives 134 dB with response from 35 Hz.
Amplification is built in, Class D and passively cooled, on a universal power supply. Two Neutrik etherCON ports carry HARMAN HControl for setup and monitoring, DSP is user-controllable from the rear-panel LCD, and LevelMax limiting uses excursion-control algorithms rather than a simple thermal limiter to keep the transducers inside their range. Omnidirectional and cardioid presets are available, and an M20 threaded mount lets it ground-stack a full-range cabinet on a pole. The enclosure is exterior-grade birch plywood in black DuraFlex; it weighs 120 lb.
