JBL Professional JBL SRX918S Powered 18-inch subwoofer

The SRX918S is the single 18-inch active subwoofer for SRX900 systems. A JBL 2279G-1 woofer with Differential Drive dual voice coils runs on 1,100 W continuous of Class D power for 134 dB and response from 35 Hz. Presets cover omnidirectional and cardioid deployment, so a stacked pair can push the energy off the stage.

Amplification is built in, Class D and passively cooled, on a universal power supply. Two Neutrik etherCON ports carry HARMAN HControl for setup and monitoring, DSP is user-controllable from the rear-panel LCD, and LevelMax limiting uses excursion-control algorithms rather than a simple thermal limiter to keep the transducers inside their range. The enclosure is 18 mm plywood in black DuraFlex with two recessed handles, and it weighs 98 lb.
