Irix Edge MMS Vari ND 2-5 Magnetic Filter

The variable neutral density element of the Irix Edge Magnetic Mount System, covering two to five stops in a single rotation. Keeping the range to three stops avoids the cross-polarisation banding that appears at the ends of wider-range variable NDs, so the whole travel of the ring is usable.

It drops onto the MMS ring at the front of an Irix Cine lens and rotates in place to set density, so exposure can be trimmed as the light changes without unthreading anything. Multi-layer anti-reflective coatings sit under a double-sided NANO hydrophobic and oleophobic layer. Fits Irix Cine lenses with the MMS front ring, which is all of them except the 11mm T4.3 and the 21mm T1.5.
