Irix Cine Matte Box IQ

The Irix Matte Box IQ is the flag and filter stage designed around the Irix Cine lenses, clamping to the front rather than needing 15 mm rods and a baseplate. On a gimbal or a shoulder rig that is the difference between carrying a matte box and leaving it behind.

It shades the front element from off-axis light, which is what stops veiling flare washing out contrast when a practical or the sun sits just outside frame, and it gives the 11mm and 21mm Cine lenses a filtration path they do not otherwise have. Thread adapters in sizes from M52 to M86 are available separately for use on other lenses.
