HK Audio SONAR 115 Sub D Active 15 inch Subwoofer

The SONAR 115 Sub D is the subwoofer that turns a pair of SONAR Xi tops into a full-range system. A 15-inch cone driver in a bass reflex cabinet is driven by a Class D amplifier rated 1500 W peak, reaching 40 Hz at -6 dB and 125 dB peak. The crossover is variable from 60 to 150 Hz rather than fixed, so the handover to the tops can be set for the cabinet actually in use.

Setup is done on a 2.2-inch LCD, with DSP covering bass boost, polarity, crossover point, delay, front LED, and display dimming. Two XLR/jack combo inputs and two XLR through outputs pass signal to the tops, and protection includes thermal, overload, a subsonic filter, and peak and RMS limiting. The cabinet weighs 62.6 pounds and runs from a standard IEC inlet.
