Genustech UV Protector Filter 105mm

Broadcast zooms carry a large, exposed front element, and this filter is the protection most crews leave on permanently: an optical glass UV filter in an aluminum ring, sized to the 105mm thread common on Canon HD ENG/EFP lenses. Because it does not introduce a density shift, it stays on through the whole shoot rather than being swapped in only for exposure control.

Genustech's multi-resistance coating adds a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective surface on top of the UV correction, so the filter also absorbs the bluish cast that daylight can add while keeping the lens itself out of harm's way from dust and impact.
