Fujinon XT17sx4.5BMD 17x Remote Videoconferencing Lens (Demo)

The XT17sx4.5BMD is Fujinon's eXceed-series 17x zoom built for cameras nobody stands behind. It covers 4.5mm to 77mm on a 1/3-inch HD sensor, but where the ENG version of this lens has a handgrip and manual rings, the BMD has motors: zoom, focus and iris are driven electronically and commanded from a remote controller. Inner focus holds the barrel at a constant length as it racks, which is what a pan-tilt head, a dome or a tower housing needs.

That design makes it the right lens for videoconferencing rooms, tower cams, lecture capture and any robotic camera position where an operator is never going to touch the glass. It also means you must have a control path: a Fujinon controller or a compatible third-party lens controller is mandatory, manual operation is not possible, and no controller ships with this unit.
