Fostex PC-100USB-HR2 USB DAC and Volume Controller

The Fostex PC-100USB-HR2 replaces a computer's built-in sound hardware with an outboard 24-bit / 96kHz digital-to-analog converter in a weighted metal desktop case. USB audio arrives from a Mac or PC with no driver to install, and the large analog volume knob rides the level on the way out, so the desktop stays at unity and your hand does the trimming.

RCA outputs feed a pair of powered monitors such as the Fostex PM series, while a front 3.5mm jack drives headphones directly from the same converter. The unit runs entirely on USB bus power with no wall adapter, and it ships with a USB cable and a pair of RCA cables to connect out of the box.
