FOR.A HVS-100 1M/E Video Production Switcher

The HVS-100 is the separate-chassis version of FOR.A's Hanabi 1M/E portable switcher, pairing a 1U-style main unit with the HVS-100OU 12-button operation unit. It ships standard with 8 HD/SD-SDI inputs and 4 HD/SD-SDI plus 1 HDMI output, and the main unit carries three expansion slots so the input and output count can grow to a maximum of 14 in and 9 out with analog, HDMI, VGA, or additional SDI cards. A frame synchronizer sits on every standard input and re-sizing engines on four of them, so synchronous and asynchronous sources at mixed HD and SD resolutions can be cut together cleanly.

Production tools come standard rather than as extras: 2 keyers, 2 downstream keyers, four 2.5D DVE engines, and an assignable advanced chroma keyer. Two still/clip stores each hold up to 227 frames of HD video for CG-wipe transitions, and a 16-channel multi-viewer offers 20 split-screen layouts with title, tally, and audio-meter overlays. A built-in web server lets an operator drive setup and control from a PC or tablet, backed by 100-event memory and a macro function. This Type A configuration includes the HVS-100OU control panel, the HVS-100EXP3G 3Gbps expansion software, and the HVS-100ED editor interface software; an optional HVS-100PSM adds a redundant power supply.
