Earthworks FW730 FlexWand Podium Microphone System
The FW730 FlexWand is a complete floor-standing microphone: a 7 ft 2 in wand on a 12 in weighted base, with the capsule at the top and nothing visible in front of the talker. It answers the problem a lectern gooseneck cannot, which is a speaker who moves, or a stage that has no lectern to mount to.
The capsule is a cardioid condenser reaching 20 Hz to 30 kHz with 16 dB SPL equivalent self noise and a 145 dB SPL peak acoustic input, so it stays quiet under a soft voice and does not fold up under a loud one. Height is adjustable anywhere from 1 ft 6 in to 7 ft above the floor. Output is XLR, pin 2 positive, at 65 ohms balanced.
