Earthworks FlexMic Gen 2 Gooseneck Microphone
FlexMic Gen 2 is Earthworks' podium gooseneck rebuilt around a copper-wound stem and a 10 mm pre-polarized condenser capsule. It reaches 20 Hz to 20 kHz, which is well past what a lectern microphone is normally asked to do, and that headroom is what keeps a speaker sounding like themselves rather than like a public-address system.
Gen 2 adds a warmer voicing, tighter polar-pattern control for speakers who work the microphone badly as well as those who work it well, and lower phantom current draw. The gooseneck comes at 16.24, 20.74 or 24.61 inches, in cardioid (C) or supercardioid (S). The body is anodized aluminium with a painted steel windscreen, and an MC1 microphone clip is in the box.
