Earthworks DM17 Tom and Snare Drum Microphone

The DM17 is a cardioid pre-polarized condenser that clips directly to the rim with the included RM3 mount, keeping toms and snare miked without a forest of stands around the kit. Its tight pattern favors on-axis detail and rejects the rest of the kit bleeding in.

The 20 Hz to 17 kHz response is tuned for drum shells rather than cymbals, and the cast metal body with a stainless steel tip and XLR connector is built to survive being clipped and unclipped through a tour. Runs on standard 48 V phantom power.
