Elgato Game Capture 4K Pro PCIe Capture Card

Game Capture 4K Pro is the internal card in Elgato's capture line: it installs in a PCIe slot inside a desktop PC rather than hanging off a USB port, which takes the host bus out of the equation on long high-bitrate sessions. It records unencrypted HDMI at up to 4K60 and passes through at up to 8K60, so the gaming display keeps the full signal while the capture runs underneath it. HDR10 works on both the passthrough and the recording.

It is a Windows product and it needs a desktop; laptops cannot take it. Elgato lists Windows 10 64-bit or higher, an 8th-generation Core i5 or a Ryzen 5 3600 or better, a GeForce GTX 10-series GPU or better, and a PCIe 2.0 x4, x8, or x16 slot. Capture and editing are handled by Elgato Studio, a free download. The card measures 121.67 x 55.88 x 19.05 mm and ships with a 200 cm 8K HDMI cable.
